Doodles Run Club

A run club provides a place for the community to build bounds and stay active. I am pitching that we reboot the Doodles Run Club.
With this reboot I would like to see a PWA to encourage participation. This app can have goals, statistics, and badges. To ensure that the club is given the best chance at succeeding, I would encourage that this project has multiple holders managing it to help carry the load. Previously I was the single point of failure and as a result, it did exactly that.

Core DRC Features to Benchmark
Segments & Leaderboards: Automatically tracks performance on specific user-created routes, awarding virtual crowns ("CR" / "KOM") for fastest times.
Kudos & Social Feed: Lightweight engagement mechanics like give-and-get kudos, route sharing, and photos attached to activities.
Club & Group Pages: Central hub for run clubs to post events, host group leaderboards, and coordinate group runs.
Gear Tracking: Allows users to log mileage on specific pairs of running shoes to schedule replacements.
Beacon Safety: Real-time location sharing with designated emergency contacts during active workouts.

I like the leaderboard idea and it feels like a must-have.

Not a terrible idea, although I wonder if a club inside of the Doodles Run Club would segregate it too much. That said, you could have runners be grouped by geography. US vs CAN all over again?
